Agreement with the Catholic University of Ávila


The Catholic University of Ávila (UCAV) has signed an agreement with the Dom Foundation, promoter and management of the University Center Santo Tomás to collaborate in the teaching of undergraduate and Master’s degrees related to teacher training, as indicated by the Dean of the UCAV, Ma. del Rosario Sáez Yuguero. The DOM Foundation develops the university studies of the SLAM UNIVERSITIES project.

The studies to be initially taught are degrees in Children’s Education Teaching, Elementary School Teaching, Psychology and University Master’s Degrees in Mandatory High School Education and Secondary Education Teaching, Professional Training and Language Teaching, as well as in Management and Administration of Sports Institutions and Facilities.

The President of the Dom Foundation, Juan Antonio Perteguer, has stated that the objective is to discover and develop the talent of students for them to put it at the service of society, “we want to turn the current system around for it to be the training center that places the student in order to form leaders able to transform the world we live in”.

Enrique Martín, secretary of the Dom Foundation, has stressed the importance of training excellent teachers and being demanding with their training, since they are the ones who will later have the future of the country in their hands.

The Dom Foundation supports 12 training centers in Spain, located in Castilla y León, Castilla la Mancha, Madrid and Andalusia, and has educational projects in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador, as well as collaboration agreements with different entities in the USA. Therefore, UCAV students are able to complete their academic internships at those centers.
